Q. Can you explain the difference in the colour codes?

A. Code Orange: Infectious waste - fully discharged sharps not contaminated with cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines. Incineration or other approved methods.

Code Yellow: Infectious waste - partially discharged sharps not contaminated with cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines. Incineration only.

Code Purple: Sharps contaminated with cytotoxic and cystostatic medicines. Incineration only.

Code Blue: For the export market - partially discharged sharps not contaminated with cytotoxic and cystostatic medicines. Incineration or other approved methods.

Q. Do you have anything to deal with liquids that spill in containers?

A. Our special HYDRI® mats soak up any spills in our containers - you can buy them separately as well.

Q. Can I specify the colour of the lids?

A. Subject to the order quantities containers can be produced with different colour lids and labelling as required. For additional safety SHARPAK also supply HYDRI patented absorbent mats which can be placed in the base of clinical waste containers and sacks to absorb any free liquids.

Q. Can I have labels produced in different languages?

A. Depending on the quantity we can produce labels in different languages.

Q. Do you supply containers for general clinical waste?

A. We have a wide range of containers from 2.5L up to 60L.
